The Government of Canada has made tackling climate change a policy priority, most prominently through its Pan-Canadian Framework on Clean Growth and Climate Change. In September 2017, we convened a representative group of stakeholders and experts on the issue of low-carbon procurement at an in-person meeting in Toronto. This policy package has already been favourably received by officials involved in the development of Canada’s approach to procurement, but we see it as just a first step.
