As Canada moves forward with plans to build millions of new homes, the carbon emissions associated with the materials that make up buildings and other major infrastructure are substantial. But a new Clean Energy Canada report finds that building with lower-carbon materials and methods doesn’t need to drive up costs—and even has the added benefit of supporting Canadian industries at a time of high tariffs and trade tension. In this webinar, Clean Energy Canada senior policy advisor Jana Elbrecht, Treasury Board of Canada Secretariat policy analyst Ryley Picken, Chandos Construction sustainability director Audrina Lim, and Ha/f Climate Design co-founder Juliette Cook will explore why constructing clean buildings and infrastructure doesn’t need to cost the earth.
